  1. If you encounter an error while using our service, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please be as thorough as possible and include as much information as you can, including:
    • The time and date of the error
    • Your username
    • What you were doing when you encountered the error
    • Any error messages which were displayed
    • A screen shot of the web page (see below)
    • The source code for the page (see below)
    • Any steps which may help us to reproduce the error
    How To Take a Screen-Shot
    If you are using Windows XP on a PC, please follow the steps below. Other operating systems and versions may vary slightly.
    1. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. This will take a snap-shot of your screen and copy it to your clipboard.
    2. Open Microsoft Paint by going to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint.
    3. Go to Edit, Paste from the main menu. This will paste an image of your screen onto the drawing canvas.
    4. Go to File, Save As... and select JPEG from the Save as type drop-down box. Type a name for the file and click Save.
    5. Attach this to your email, addressed to bugs@skinmarvin.net
    How to Save the Web Page Source Code
    The source code of a web page is almost like a blue-print for the page you're viewing. If you have encountered an error, this information can help us to see exactly  how the page has been displayed and help us find any errors in it. These instructions may vary slightly depending on your web browser.
    1. Right-click anywhere on the web page and click View Source.
    2. Select File, Save As or Save Page As.
    3. Select Text File from the Save as type drop-down box. Type a name for the file, ensuring this ends in .txt and click Save.
    4. Attach this to your email, addressed to bugs@skinmarvin.net
    Once we receive your bug report we'll get back to you as a matter of priority.

  2. POP UPS
    You must have POP UPS Enabled to view full size pictures and send messages. Most modern internet browsers have built in POP UP BLOCKER and you need to make sure pop ups are enabled for SkinMarvin.net, other software such as internet security suites and browser tool bars may also block pop ups again allow pop ups.

    You can normally allow pop ups by clicking on the information bar that tells you POP UPS are blocked and enabling them.
  3. What is a cache?
    Each time you visit a web site, your computer downloads the pages to your computer from the internet. To save time next time you visit this page, your internet browser may save a copy of it on your computer. This is called caching.

    How to clear your cache
    By deleting the files in your internet cache, your web browser will download the latest copy of the page you're looking at. Simply follow the instructions for your browser below.

    Internet Explorer

    1. From the main menu, click Tools, Internet Options.
    2. Click the button Delete Files.
    3. Click OK to confirm you want to delete all temporary internet files.
    4. Click OK on the Internet Options box to close this.
    Mozilla Firefox
    1. From the main menu, click Tools, Options.
    2. Select the Privacy button from the top of the page, then click the Cache tab.
    3. Click the Clear Cache Now button and confirm any prompts.

      • Select the Privacy tab.
      • Click the Default button which will allow cookie to be set.
      • Click OK and re-try logging in.
    • Mozilla Firefox

      • Select the Cookies tab.
      • Ensure the box is ticked which says Allow sites to set cookies.
      • Click OK and re-try logging in.

  5. A small number of our users are experiencing difficulties trying to log into, and are receiving the error There is no user '0' registered on SkinMarvin.net.

    We're currently trying to find the source of this issue as it's only affecting a few users, and appears to be resolved by clearing your web browser's cache.

    If you do encounter this error, please contact us and let us know as we will then be able to check our logs to try resolve the problem.
